CF Architects has completed more than 50 residential commissions since the studio was founded. Projects span new builds, major renovations, interior architecture, and coastal holiday homes — every one of them principal-led by Curtis Fleur.

CF Architects works across Gauteng (Bryanston, Sandton, Fourways, Morningside, Steyn City, Waterfall), the Garden Route (Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, George), the Western Cape, and broader sub-Saharan Africa. Current commissions include The Charles Residence in Bryanston and Azure Horizon on Lake Malawi.

Yes. Coastal and holiday-home commissions are a part of the studio’s active practice, with current work on a beachfront residence at Lake Malawi (Azure Horizon, currently in concept design) and previous work across the Garden Route. Coastal commissions are designed with the specific demands of their climate — wind, salt, light, and the indoor-outdoor threshold of coastal living.

The Kyalami Residence in Midrand, currently in design and construction, is a 1100m² new build — one of the studio’s larger recent commissions. CF’s portfolio includes other substantial homes, but the studio is intentionally focused on residential rather than scale: the work is shaped around the life inside, not the square metres.

CF Architects takes on four categories of residential work: new builds (custom homes designed from first conversation to handover), major renovations (substantial transformations of existing homes), interior architecture (kitchens, bathrooms, full interior reworks), and coastal / holiday residences. Every category is principal-led by Curtis Fleur.
